‘Valencia CF visits your school’ kicks off a new season in Torrent
The Club will visit twelve schools with special attention to the centres affected by the flash floods
The Salón de Bóvedas at the Real Alcázar de Sevilla hosted an event with representatives of both Copa del Rey finalists Valencia CF and FC Barcelona, as well as the RFEF, on Friday.
After the dinner and before the exchange of gifts customary at the event, Valencia CF president, Anil Murthy, talked about the Copa del Rey final.
"The cup has allowed us to write some brilliant chapters in the club's history. In this year -The year of our Centenary- it is very special for us to play in this final. We are in a new era for the club, with an alternative model for how we run the club, which has allowed us to continue competing amongst the top teams in Spain and Europe. We come to Seville with humility and excitement, but with the utmost ambition of winning the cup after this long journey -in which we have shown that we never give up, just like in LaLiga and in Europe."
FC Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bertomeu, congratulated Valencia CF "for being finalists, for being a great club and for getting into the Champions League next year," wishing for "a party atmosphere amongst the fans, with a lot of respect and a great game."
Finally, RFEF president, Luis Rubiales, highlighted that for Valencia CF "This is a very important year. It's a magnificent final."
